"Search me, O God, and know my heart; try me, and know my anxieties! And see if there be any grievous way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting."

– Psalm 139:23-24

Life Matters
Introduction

"I, the Preacher, was king over Israel in Jerusalem. And I set my heart to seek and search out by wisdom concerning all that is done under heaven; this burdensome task God has given to the sons of man, by which they may be [e]exercised. I have seen all the works that are done under the sun; and indeed, all is vanity and grasping for the wind." ~ Ecclesiastes 1:12-14

There are countless false ideas about the meaning of life. We've been sold and conditioned to believe things that feed our selfish desires. For more than half my life, I believed in a version of life that was far from the truth. I was deceived, and I bought into the lie.

King Solomon once said that apart from God, life is meaningless. But like any rebellious child, I didn't believe him. I had to go out and chase fulfillment on my own terms, trying to extract all I could from life. And, like Solomon, I eventually realized that without God, it’s an empty pursuit.

In this section, I want to explore how we can avoid wasting time and energy by living the one life that truly matters—the life God created us to live.
