"I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service."

Letter to Christians

The Spirit itself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs, heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if only we suffer with him so that we may also be glorified with him" ~ Romans 8:16-17

Dear fellow Christians,

"In this section, my aim isn't to criticize or condemn—but rather to inspire us to draw closer to Christ and embrace the life God has called us to live. You may find some of my words disagreeable, but I desire to encourage us all toward this common goal. As Christians, I believe this aspiration should resonate with each of us."

Light of the World

Christians are to mirror Christ, embodying His virtues and bearing His fruit. We are messengers, ambassadors, soldiers, the salt, and the light of the world. Our mission is to represent God's Kingdom, not conforming to the ways of this world but radiating His joy and peace from within. Christians are to give their lives as Christ gave his life for us. But, sadly, I don't witness enough of us truly living out this calling in the world.

Light of the World Dims

Christianity falls short of its ideal state, and the radiance of God's light appears faint within the world. Church has become faithless and formulated and seems to lack the spirit of God. The world has more power over Christians than Christians have over the world. Christians look like the world, living for the world and in bondage to the world. We live selfishly, fighting for our rights, comforts, and desires. Christians have exchanged faith and obedience with good intentions. We have chosen comfort over running the race, sitting on the bench as spectators.

The only thing that sets us apart is our proclamation of a Savior whom we often struggle to follow, "if we even follow Him at all."

I don't know about you, but I am tired of having faith that never seems to change, feeling spiritually hungry, longing for more of God. I am weary and disillusioned with the current state of Christianity and the status quo of the church. The vitality and authenticity of the Christian faith seem lacking, falling short of embodying the essence of Christ. I am weary and disillusioned with my faith: how about you?

The Gravity of the Situation

There's a world out there that is dying. Are we doing all we can to assist God in saving them?

If you have children or care about children, you understand the distress of witnessing their suffering. It's unimaginable to think anyone would desire children to endure starvation, homelessness, abuse, or trafficking. Who would want them to go through hell like that?

Your heart may break for children who suffer like this, but there is an even greater tragedy. What about God's creation, His children, that will live in hell eternally? Imagine being condemned to relive your worst day endlessly, for eternity, with no hope in sight.

We have the power to illuminate their escape; we have Jesus Christ. If we have found the door of salvation, why are we not shining it as bright as we can? Why are we not pointing to Christ with all that we are?

We have the call to offer our lives to God and become instruments of salvation for others. Despite the sacrifices or losses we may endure, consider what awaits us: the priceless reward of Jesus Christ and the chance to fill Heaven with saved souls. By aligning with God's will, we'll discover our true purpose and experience the joy of walking closely with Jesus. What else is there for the Christian?

I can tell you what the problem with today's Christianity is in two words, "Spiritual Immaturity, Christians are failing to grow up. Christians are not surrendering to Christ. We are satisfied to be saved but unwilling to go deeper in our faith. There are two problems with baby Christians: you can't lead a baby in a battle of faith, and if they can't follow, they can't grow. Remember, a baby Christian often resembles someone who hasn't yet found salvation; distinguishing between the two can be challenging. Without assurance of their salvation, a baby Christian faces the risk of not truly being saved.

Perhaps you feel confident in your faith, which is fantastic. If you're walking on water, we could use your guidance to do the same. Please help us to learn how to grow our faith.

For the rest of us who are struggling, who desire to be wholly devoted to God and possess faith that can move mountains, I want to confront the truth and encourage us to embrace challenges and become victorious Christians.
