This World’s Illusion
The Lie We Call Life
Humanity has lost itself in a fog of self-absorption, chasing temporary pleasures and possessions at the expense of true purpose. We’ve transformed essential tools—clothes for covering, food for sustenance, sex for intimacy and procreation, and family as a divine gift—into
self pleasure, identities and obsessions that bind us. This fleeting world, meant to be a temporary home, has become our focus, as though it defines our very existence. Yet, for those brave enough to seek true life, we must look beyond its confines and abandon our self-centered pursuits. Unfortunately, many remain afraid to confront the profound truths of existence.
On one end of the spectrum is the so-called Christian who is willing to surrender to God—as long as their worldly pursuits remain unchallenged. They seem to feel it’s unjust that others can freely indulge in the world while they must hold back. These individuals strive to straddle both worlds: one foot in the realm of God and the other deeply rooted in earthly desires. Although we claim to be "not of this world," we often find ourselves entangled in it. This kind of Christian seeks self-centered joy and comfort, disguising it as a "blessed life."
Then we have the Church, which often sees itself as a hospital for the hurting, a social club, and an educational institution. Many churches believe their role is to save souls, fill seats, generate income, and act as wellness centers and social hubs. This misguided perspective has transformed the Church into a catering, enabling, commercialized educational, institution.
Finally, those outside the faith often view the Church and Christians as hypocrites, deluded idealists, and moral finger-pointers. They see Christians who, in many cases, appear no different from—or even worse than—their non-Christian peers. To them, Christians seem to hide within a religious bubble, claiming to love Christ and to be set apart, yet revealing their true colors when faced with the realities of the world. Through all of this, the real meaning—what God intended—is being lost.
The meaning of life is found only in God. To be rooted in Him is to truly live; apart from Him, we merely exist. In a relationship with God, we discover an eternal treasure that transcends this world and the trials we face. When we are rooted in God, we uncover our true identity, become the Christians He will use, unite with others, and fulfill our calling as His Church.
God never intended this world to be anything more than a tool—a place of grace where we’re given time to recognize the folly of living apart from Him. If this world truly held the value we assign to it, we must ask ourselves: why will it one day be consumed by fire? Why will there be no marriage, family, or sex in Heaven? Do we really think that money, fame, relationships, or possessions will matter there? Of course not. God will be all we need; He alone will sustain us and give us life, just as He is trying to teach us here. This world is merely a prison, and God’s desire is for us to see it as such and break free from its deadly grasp.
One day, all our debates will cease. Church buildings—even mega-churches—will lie in ruins. The sermons will be silenced. The things of this world will turn to ash; fame, fortune, and trophies will be forgotten. Every dispute, petty argument, opinion, and ounce of pride will be long gone. Our clever plans, inventions, and the accolades we gave ourselves will become mere history. Our houses, cars, jobs, successes, and failures will vanish. Family, loved ones, and everything we hold dear will be stripped from our grasp, leaving only ourselves and what lies beyond this existence. And I believe that beyond it all is God. We will each stand before Him, alone—either in praise or in regret and shame.
I have created this site with the hope that people come to realize that true life is found only in God; everything else, apart from Him, is a futile path leading to death. My desire is for my loved ones—and the world—to know Christ and the boundless riches of eternal life with Him. I hope this site reveals the emptiness and deceit of this world and the futility of trying to build a life in a prison ruled by darkness. I aim to go beyond the compromised Christianity and Church of today, uncovering the true meaning of life. Life is found in Jesus, and when we seek the Kingdom with all our heart and mind, everything else will be given to us. This is my hope and prayer.
