Introduction
When I first entered ministry, I was full of zeal and excitement, eager to forsake the world and serve the Lord alongside other Christians. But it didn’t take long before I felt lost within the church. I was confused, as the church and Christianity around me didn’t seem to reflect the spirit and community I saw in the Book of Acts. As a young and naive Christian, I kept silent, trusting that the leaders knew better than I did.
The church was quick to encourage my enthusiasm, and at times it felt as if they were feeding off my zeal. But before long, I began to feel burned out and increasingly disheartened. I became more confused by the behaviors and attitudes of the church and fellow Christians, gradually realizing how much the world’s values had crept into our churches. It was clear that true growth in Christ was rare, and this disillusionment wore me down, pulling my focus away from Christ and leaving me feeling lost once again. This is when the church turned its back on me.
It has taken me a long time to break free from the influence of the institutional church and return to the core truths of God’s Word. I now see a contrast between God’s message in the Bible and what is often taught by the church, yet I struggle with how to express this perspective. I feel compelled to share it, though, because I’m concerned that in our compromises, we are losing sight of God. His presence is becoming a distant reality, and that alarms me—for all of us and for future generations. The more we slip away, the more God’s truth fades from the world’s awareness.
I can’t just walk up on church stages, without an invitation, to share my perspective, so this site is my way of doing that. I created it to convey what I believe is God’s true gospel message, so that people can understand the reality of what they are truly accepting—or rejecting.
