This world is fallen, sinful, and broken. Satan is the ruler of this world, and its system stands in opposition to the Word of God. Without God, humanity cannot find true peace; instead, we engage in constant conflict and strife. Without God, we lack the ability to create a system that truly functions and are vulnerable to Satan's deceptions, leading us to build a world that serves his purposes.

Do you want to save the world? You can't, and you never will.

This world is passing away, destined for destruction. We are not in Heaven, nor was this world ever created to be Heaven. We are called to be good stewards of God's earth, but we were never instructed to transform this world into His Kingdom. Nor should we expect the people of this world to live, or even desire to live, the Kingdom life. The government and powers that be were never meant to follow or understand God's way.

When Jesus came to earth, many believed He would save the world and change the power structures to align with God's Holy Kingdom. But Jesus did the opposite. He never involved Himself in the politics of the time. Jesus did not command people to live by God's law on this earth. Instead, He revealed God's Kingdom through His words and life, illustrating how to live a holy life and demonstrating the nature of Kingdom living.

As Christians, what should we do to protect this world from Satan's influence and prevent it from descending into moral decay like Sodom and Gomorrah? Are we supposed to let the world fall into sin? Yes, just as God did. In the cases of Noah and the flood, Sodom and Gomorrah, and even during Jesus' crucifixion, we see that due to humanity's evil intentions, God allowed them to follow the desires of their hearts (Romans 1:24).

What are Christians supposed to do?

Stop thinking we're meant to save the world and recognize that our mission is to save the people in it. How do we do that? Just as Jesus did—by revealing God's Kingdom through our words and lives, showing others how to live a holy life, and demonstrating the beauty of Kingdom living. We must show the world the beauty of our Lord, the love of our God, and the joy of living by His law. Living this way offers hope that people can be saved from the grasp of this world and escape eternal separation from God—and an eternity in Hell.

I don't understand why Christians try to save the world through politics, government, and the infrastructure that Satan controls. Nor do I understand why we expect nonbelievers to live by God's law or try to force Christianity into schools and businesses. Forcing people to follow God's law may result in creating cultural Christians who, in the end, fail to find true salvation. What a tragic fate, to live by God's law yet still end up in Hell for eternity.

I assume people do this with good intentions, but remember, good intentions can pave the way to Hell. Unfortunately, I believe many Christians act out of fear that the world will become like Sodom and Gomorrah, but this often reflects a desire to protect their comfort rather than a true concern for people's salvation.

It’s natural to fear the world becoming like Sodom and Gomorrah, but we must trust that God will help us overcome. As Christians, we are called to be light in the darkness, not to transform the world into light for our own benefit.

We must allow those who live contrary to God to follow their own path, hoping that they eventually grow weary of that life. When they do, we can stand before them, glorify God, and reveal a better way—a life that inspires them to come home to Jesus. Our purpose is to glorify God and lead others on a pilgrimage to Heaven—not to make this earthly prison more comfortable.

This world can't be saved, but it can be changed. True change comes only when people are saved. One mind, one heart, one God, one love.
