"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."

– John 3:16

The Truth of Life
The Gospel Message

I’ve heard many gospel messages, and two common themes often emerge: one emphasizes the sinner's prayer, warning of hell, and the other speaks of a "God-shaped hole" in your heart, suggesting that you are empty and need God to fill this void. However, neither of these messages presents the full truth.

The sinner’s prayer is often presented in a way that seeks to scare people into salvation by focusing on the fear of hell, which feels at odds with Jesus’ own words that He did not come to condemn the world, but to save it.

On the other hand, the "God-shaped hole" message appeals more to self-fulfillment, focusing on personal happiness rather than on the essential call for true repentance and wholehearted devotion to God.

It seems there’s a hesitancy to preach the full gospel message. I’m not sure if it's because the church is trying to accommodate or pressure people into Heaven, but regardless of the reason, the complete truth must be shared. With that in mind, here’s my attempt to present the full gospel message.

The Message

God created us to live for Him alone. He is the source of our life, love, truth, and peace. He nurtures us to bear His fruit, all for the purpose of glorifying Him. Out of His great love, God desired to create a family to share in His goodness.(Ephesians 1:5)

Humanity made the grave decision to reject their Creator, their Father, and His Kingdom, choosing instead to seize control over their own lives and pursue their own independence. In doing so, they turned their backs on the light of God—the source of truth, love, and peace—and followed Satan into the darkness, where evil, chaos, and sin reign. By rejecting God, mankind turned away from all that is pure, holy, and good, embracing lies, impurity, and everything that leads to destruction. This was no mere mistake; it was a deliberate choice to slap God's face and shut the door on Him, turning their backs on the very One who gave them life. (Genesis 3)

This choice left humanity seeking the void created by rejecting God. In their search, they warred, abused, and killed each other. No matter where humanity turns, we cannot find a way to fill this void. We search, we struggle, we are lost, blind, beggars, orphaned, and trapped in our self-imposed prison—destined for Hell if we don’t realize what we’ve done.

Our choice unleashed the cancer of death into the world. We walked willingly into a prison ruled by Satan, thinking we could create a kingdom for ourselves and be our own gods, but instead, we brought only chaos and destruction. Our wretched decision was beyond redemption by any effort of our own; no matter how hard we tried, we could never escape the grip of the sin we embraced. (Genesis 3 to Revelation 22)

For God so Loved Us

The only one capable of saving us was God Himself, who sent Jesus to pay the penalty for the immense sin we had committed. Only a man without sin—Jesus—could bear the weight of death and the door of evil we had opened. We made the Father and Son, who had never been separated, feel the agony of separation. God turned His back on His Son and crushed Him like a worm, as the weight of the sins of the world poured upon Jesus. All the while, His Son, feeling the torment, cried out, "Why have You forsaken me?"—all to save our wretched souls. Through His sacrifice, Jesus opened the door to God and now invites us to become part of His eternal family in Heaven. (John 3:16)

If we truly believe and recognize what God has done for us, and understand the wretched evil we have committed and become, along with the empty void that prevents us from living in peace with ourselves and one another, all God asks is that we repent of our grievous folly and turn back to Him. God calls us to stop living for ourselves, for others, or for the fleeting things of this world, and to live for Him, our Father in Heaven. He asks us to stop pursuing our own happiness and pleasure, and instead, live a life that brings Him joy. We are to cease serving ourselves and others for selfish gain, and instead, serve only Him—this is the purpose for which He created us. In doing so, we are profoundly blessed and seize the gift of eternal life. Of all His creation, we are the most important to God, and because of this, He desires to give us His very best—Himself. (John 1:9)

If we persist in denying and rejecting God, we will face the natural consequence of our choice. Like a criminal who refuses to abide by the laws of society, a branch that severs itself from the vine, or a family member who corrupts the unity of the household, we separate ourselves from the source of life and harmony. Such individuals will be permanently removed from God's presence, cast out to spend eternity with Satan in the darkness they willingly embraced—a place called Hell.(Matthew 25:41)

This is the Gospel message that aligns with God's Word. Nonbelievers may deny the truth, but this is the message. Christians may try to soften or dilute it, but this is the message, whether we like it or not.

Now it’s your choice on how to respond.

" Outside of the cross of Jesus Christ, there is no hope in this world."
